Roof-Mount Basketball Goal on a Detached Garage with Asphalt Driveway

Cranked down, the same goal drops the rim to a lower height for younger players — the exposed upper rail above the board showing how far it has traveled.

About This Installation

Residential
Outdoor

This is a detached residential garage with an asphalt shingle roof, the goal mounted to the roof slope and playing out over an asphalt driveway below. The unit is a RoofMaster Turbo which is the pick where there's no room, or no wish, for a pole and base on the drive. It clamps to the roof pitch above the door and reaches a tempered glass backboard out over the pavement, its rim adjusting from the ground by hand crank so one goal serves both full-height play and younger players.
